1a Demonstrating Knowledge of Content and Pedagogy | As a part of my attempts to personalize instruction, I have been given the opportunity to attend major state and national conferences. These posts detail my experiences at the 2015 SLATE Conference and PBL world 2015. Both gave me lots of take-aways which I have been able to implement immediately into my classroom design. | ||
1b Demonstrating Knowledge of Students | This demonstrates who each of my students are as learners. It highlights who they are as learners and how this has progressed over time. I gives them voice to me and clarifies who they are to themselves. The second link highlights how the products my students create allows them to demonstrate who they are to me. | ||
1c Setting Instructional Outcomes | The first document represents the type of rubric students get for their unit summative assessments. It outlines the expectations for each learning objective. The second piece is a blog post that highlights how I ask students to track progress through the progress of a unit. | ||

4b Maintaining Accurate Records | The grading process is documented in these two posts. The first demonstrates how I’m using Infinite Campus to accurately reflect a student's learning. The second shows how I am using our learning management system to align student work to learning outcomes. | ||
4c Communicating with Families | This blog post outlines the new progress form that I am having students complete and the automated process that sends this home to parents. Parents appreciate this communication greatly. | ||
