A pandemic is an epidemic of infectious disease that has spread through human populations across a large region; for instance multiple continents, or even worldwide.
Using the above definition, and the video clip what do you believe was the worst pandemic in history? What about your lifetime or the last ten years? What current disease spread by mosquitoes is stressing people out?

As the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States intensified in the late 1940s and early 1950s, hysteria over the perceived threat posed by Communists in the U.S. became known as the Red Scare. Many Americans were accused of being communist sympathizers. Lives were ruined, some were arrested and others were put to death. View the video and respond with what you know about communism. While viewing, write down five facts about communism. Then contrast communism with socialism (use the info from the video).
