Clinton High School Cell Phone Policy

Cell phones in the classroom can be a significant discipline problem and classroom management struggle if clear and explicit guidelines are not established the first day. We cannot vary in our tolerance for phone usage in the classroom.  Teachers must be consistent.

Students may not have their cell phones out while in class, unless directed to do so by their teacher.

Students may use their phones in the cafeteria, commons, and hallway.  Students will put their phones up as soon as they enter the classroom.

Please fill out the Cell Phone Referral Form via Google Forms every time a cell phone violation occurs in your classroom.

1st Offense - verbal warning by the teacher

2nd Offense - parent will pick up the phone

3rd Offense - phone will be suspended.  Checked into the office in the morning and checked out after school.
