MEMENTO OF A NOTABLE EVENT.

Many readers will recall that last July, a portrait of the Archbishop of Canterbury, painted by Mr. Philip de Laszlo, was unveiled at the Church House, Westminster [4632]. The portrait and an address were presented as a mark of esteem and affection from the Church Assembly to the Primate who has done so much for the Assemblys welfare. There must be many who would like to have a memento of the occasion. The Press and Publications Board of the Church Assembly has published a capital account of the proceedings at the unveiling of the picture. Among those present and who spoke were the Archbishop of York, the Earl of Selborne, the Bishop of London, the Dean of Westminster and the Primate himself. The account, which is admirably produced, contains a reproduction of the portrait and also a copy of the address. The price of this charming brochure is six-pence.
