Will churches see my profile?

Yes. Beginning June 1, 2017, pastor search committees can register for access, through a portal, to all minister profiles during their time of searching for a pastor. All minister profiles will be available for access by registered pastor search committees. As a pastor, you’re encouraged to create and keep your profile updated.

The “make visible” option has been removed from the minister profile form. In keeping with the provisions of Church Order Supplement Article 8A, if you’ve been in your current position for more than two years, you’re eligible to be contacted by pastor search committees. It’s more than likely that you’ll be contacted more frequently than you’ve been in the past. Your cordial response to inquiries is appreciated.

Who else will see my profile?

Your profile is viewable by staff in the Pastor Church Resources office.

In addition to your yearbook information, limited information from your profile is also visible to other CRCNA denominational staff. This information includes your picture, community involvement, languages spoken, and continuing education.

How can I add a picture and attachments to my profile and who will see these?

To add a picture, use the upload button on the Picture section. This will take you to the following screen. Choose a file from your computer and select upload to attach the picture to your profile.

To add an attachment, use the upload attachment button at the bottom of the screen and follow a similar process.

Who sees my pictures and attachments?

Your picture and any attachments will be directly viewable by churches. Your picture is also included if you download your profile as a pdf (see How do I know which churches have open positions?). Any attachments will not be included in the pdf, however, and would need to be sent separately.

Your picture is also visible to CRCNA denominational staff (see Who else will see my profile?)

How do I know which churches have open positions?

Many church position openings can be found in the Church Jobs section of The Network: http://network.crcna.org/church-jobs  Churches are also encouraged to post their profiles in Church Jobs or on their church website. Churches can be found at the Church Finder section of the CRCNA website and many have a website listed. https://www.crcna.org/church-finder

You can easily download your Minister Profile as a pdf, which can then be sent along with other relevant materials directly to the church pastor search committee.

To do this, navigate to the My Profile page and click the Export as PDF button. A pdf document will download or open in another window depending on your browser settings. If it opens in a new window, you may right click the document and select “Save As” to download the PDF to your computer.

Again, if you have questions, please contact staff of Pastor Church Resources at pastorchurch@crcna.org.
