Gospel Values Assembly
On Friday, March 31st, we will be holding a Gospel Values Assembly, at 10:05am in the gym. We will be presenting certificates to students in Grades 1 to 6 who were selected from each class as students who demonstrate the need for, and importance of, justice and dignity of the person in their daily actions.
School Council Meeting Rescheduled
The St. Stephen Catholic School Council will now be holding their next meeting on a new date, Tuesday, April 25th. All interested parents are welcome to attend the meeting, which will begin in the school staff room at 6:30pm. Earth Hour is an international event that took place on Saturday, March 25th from 8:30-9:30 pm. During this hour, citizens around the world turned off their lights and electronics in support of addressing climate change. At St. Stephen, we will be having our school-wide Earth Hour on Wednesday, March 29th from 12:30-1:30pm.
This year, for our Lenten project, we will be raising money for the Shepherds of Good Hope. Here is more information about our project and the Alms calendar that you can follow. Thanks for your support.
CSPA Parent Workshop
The Catholic School Parents Association will be holding a workshop called, “Recognizing and supporting the mental health needs of our children and youth.” Dr. Elizabeth Paquette will be presenting at the workshop, which will take place on Thursday, April 27th, from 7:00-9:00pm at Immaculata High School. This session will explore the concepts of "normal stress" and the "continuum of mental health" along with the signs and symptoms of potential mental health issues in children and youth. When and where to access services and supports for mental health within our community will be discussed. Strategies to foster resilience in our children and youth will be shared. Director of Education Commendation
We are very proud to announce that Mrs. Tierney will be receiving a Director of Education Commendation! For her exemplary work as a resource teacher at the school, Mrs. Tierney will be presented with the award during a special Education Week ceremony at Notre Dame Cathedral. We are so thankful for the amazing work Mrs. Tierney does to support the students of St. Stephen.
