Dear Sir

In answer to your letter of yesterday, I am instructed by the College Council to say that they will be glad to allow your portrait of Earl Balfour [2707] to be included in your exhibition on May 31st.[1]

I shall be grateful if you will let me know whether you would wish me to make the necessary arrangements for the packing and dispatch of the portrait.
