HOME ACTIVITY SUGGESTIONS
1) Music At Home Card 4 "Steady Beats All Around" YEAH! 2 Games-in-1 that will help solidify the learning that is taking place in class.
- Choose a card and then say "1-2-Find This Shape" (in tempo)
- You clap and read the rhythm and your child names the SHAPE on the card
- Reverse Roles (Child chooses/claps and reads/grown-up pick)
- Choose a card and then say “1-2- Clap and Read” and you clap and read it together.
- How about changing up the tempo of your beat game. Sometimes FAST and other times SLOW
- Play the Johnny Worked With One Hammer beat game: Begin with one fist, add another, add a foot, add the other foot, finally the head. The children LOVE this steady beat activity
2) Listen Listen Listen to Your Class Music! Even better - SING ALONG in the car! This is so important for their class participation, focus, and comfort level.
Miss Andrea FINALLY figured out how to get Young Child music to you from Kindermusik International and apologizes for taking so long! :) Please check your in box for an email from Kindermusik International that you received your music.
- Play it in the Car
- Make CD’s for Every Care-giver (Grandma, Sitter, etc) or share your Sign on Info to my.kindermusik.com
- Upload to your iTunes and create a playlist.
