GROB’s apprenticeship program is largely focused on allowing students to learn in a hands-on environment.  Each student will rotate through various manufacturing and assembly areas of the facility.

Apprenticeship positions include: Sheet Metal, Pipefitter, Electrical, High Voltage Power Lineman, and High Voltage Subtraction Electrician.

Ohio Operating Engineers

Operating Engineers build roads, bridges, dams, and assist in the construction of large buildings and other structures.

 

To become an Operating Engineer, a person must complete 4 years of apprenticeship which includes a minimum of 640 hours of classroom instruction and a minimum of 4,000 hours of employment.

 

The Journeyperson Class A pay rate as of May 1, 2016 is #33.84 to $35.33 hourly.

Freudenberg-NOK

Freudenberg-NOK is seeking qualified applicants for their apprenticeship program which is located in Findlay, Ohio.  Hiring will take place in June, 2015 with classes starting in August, 2015.  Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies manufactures thermoplastic seals and related components for the automotive industry.  The company is based out of Weinheim, Germany and was established in 1849.  They currently employ 130 people.

The 4 year Tool and Dye Apprentice program offers candidates an opportunity for employment and free educational training.  To be eligible you must:

                    **be a high school graduate

                    **be at least 18 years of age

                    **pass an aptitude test

First year students start at $12.90 an hour and you can obtain your Associate’s Degree.
