Workshops are in English and Spanish for parents of the students in the Consortium for Pre-College Education Program at NJIT

Conference Description
The Sidewalk University Economic Empowerment Conference provides an introduction to the fundamentals of personal finance and economic decision-making.  Topics to be covered include; setting financial and educational goals, creating a budget, managing credit, buying smart, paying for college, buying a home and preparing for retirement through savings and investments.

Overview
Sidewalk University is hosting their 6th Economic Empowerment Conference in partnership with

Morgan Stanley, Well Fargo, UPS I.S. Latino BRG and the Consortium for Pre-College Education Program on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark, New Jersey.  Volunteers are needed to advertise and market the conference, help manage the event and facilitate workshops in Spanish and English.  The target audience for the conference is the 400 parents of the 700 students currently in the Consortium for Pre-College Education Program (www.cons.njit.edu).
