To Whom it May Concern,
My name is _____, I am a __ year old U.S. citizen in the state of ____. As we speak, millions of Americans across the nation are furious and outraged with our government for not standing with the will of its people and calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. In order to circumvent the United States' heinous veto, Americans, and the people of the world, particularly the remaining displaced and severely wounded population in Gaza need the UN to invoke article 377.
Americans do not support nor do we condone the actions of our government in continuing to support, aid and fund the ongoing ethnic cleansing, displacement and genocide of the Palestinian people. Our representatives have not been listening to their constituents, creating a situation of taxation without representation as they continue to use our tax dollars to bomb the people of Gaza. We desperately call on the United Nations to regain international peace and security by taking effective measures to end the threat to the peace of the world by ending the bloodshed in Gaza and the West Bank at the hands of the (internationally illegal) settler colony of Israel.
I have not been able to find updated information on the numbers of UN Staffers who were slaughtered at the hands of the murderous Israel since Nov 14, but as of that date you have personally lost over 100 people to this conflict. You have personally had to contact the families of over 100 of your colleagues that they died in this senseless genocide doing their job to help the people of Palestine, and that you have done nothing to hold their murderers accountable. Over 100 UN staffers lost, and over 18,000 human lives in Gaza, over 70% of whom were women and small children, leaving the remaining weak, sick and famished men to dig their loved ones out of the rubble.
End the senseless brutality of Israel in Palestine, call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire as the first step, and circumvent the audacious U.S. Veto. Israel and the U.S. need to be held accountable for the war crimes that have been committed over the past 65+ days and 75 years of brutal occupation in Palestine. Enough is enough.
Signed,
