Dear Madam,

Mr. Justice Sankey[1] directs me to acknowledge the receipt of your letter, with its enclosures, for which he is obliged.

He will certainly bring them before the notice of the authorities immediately, but he desires to repeat what he said to you in

his last letter, viz that the Committee over which he presides is one which advises the Home Secretary only, and the matter is now in the Home Secretary’s hands.[2]
