Prologue

The Escalation in Ukraine
On February 24, 2022, the war in Ukraine began. But unlike in our reality, by early 2024 Russia decided on an unprecedented offensive. Almost all of its army and equipment were thrown into the front. Ukraine found itself in a desperate situation.
The Polish Incident
On March 23, 2024, a turning point occurred. From the territory of Belarus, a missile strike hit Poland. Minsk claimed it was an accident, but Warsaw called it a provocation. In response, Poland declared war on Belarus.
The Involvement of the Great Powers
Russia immediately came to the defense of its ally. Poland turned to NATO, insisting that Belarus had initiated aggression. NATO recognized the incident as an act of war and invoked Article 5, declaring war on Russia and its CSTO allies.
The CSTO responded. China and North Korea sided with Moscow, while Japan and South Korea joined the United States. The world was divided. In just days, a local conflict turned into the Third World War.

When China neared total collapse, Moscow made a fatal decision: to send part of its army to support Beijing. That decision doomed Russia. Protests erupted at home as people, tired and afraid, demanded an end to the war.
The government responded with brutal repression. The bloody events in Voronezh and Moscow became symbols of state terror.
Meanwhile, the situation on the front worsened. NATO launched a massive counteroffensive in Manchuria, cutting off Russian forces in China. Desperate to save them, the Kremlin shifted troops from the western front, which broke Russia’s defenses completely.
The Fall of the East

while the rest of the state plunged into chaos.
Thus ended the Third World War. The Eastern Bloc ceased to exist.
THE COLLAPSE OF THE WEST
Despite victory, the Western nations paid an enormous price in money, resources, and human lives.
The United States managed to stay afloat thanks to its economy, but Europe was collapsing.
Hunger, unemployment, and migration crises ignited waves of nationalism and social unrest.
Old regimes fell one after another. In some places, socialist governments rose; in others, ultranationalists took power, promising to “restore Europe.”
Germany, surprisingly, remained the only state to preserve democracy.
Using the chaos, it reclaimed territories with German majorities and helped Poland stay stable and democratic.
But these were only fragments of the old order.
Europe was dying.
And there was one country whose end was final.
Weakened, surrounded, and consumed by internal decay, it did not survive the postwar crisis.
Thus ended the history of Turkey.
And from its ashes began a new era —
the rise of Seria.
THE HISTORY OF THE SERIAN PEOPLE
Origins
In ancient Anatolia lived a people known as the Serians.
(Some claim that the name “Syria” originated from them, though this is uncertain.)
They were pagans and had their own kingdom. Essentially, they were a branch of the Armenians, with whom they maintained friendly ties.
Under the dual threats of Byzantium and the Islamic Caliphate, the Serians adopted Judaism to preserve their independence.
Those who converted to Christianity were treated as outcasts.
Thus emerged a distinct form of Judaism known as Serian Judaism.
All was well until the Mongols came. Their invasion destroyed Serian lands and massacred the population.
Then came the Seljuks and later the Ottomans. The Serian story became one of survival.
During the Armenian Genocide, the Serians suffered too. The Ottoman regime tried to erase them entirely, classifying them as either Armenians or Jews—usually Armenians. Documents proving their existence were destroyed. To survive, many Serians disguised themselves as Turks.
Unlike the Armenians, their population even grew, though their identity remained hidden.
When Atatürk came to power, the Serians cautiously revealed themselves. He did not persecute them, and the eastern part of Anatolia became increasingly Serian. The people waited for their time to reclaim independence.
THE SERIAN WAR OF INDEPENDENCE
In 2029, that moment came. A man named Sergey Nen, a Serian monarchist and opposition leader in Turkey, decided to act. Seeing Turkey’s weakness after the war, he united nearly all Serians aged 18 to 45 into an underground army.
On the night of March 6–7, 2029, they launched an uprising across eastern Turkey.
Their main goal was Gaziantep, the cultural heart of Seria.
Though inexperienced, the Serian forces were disciplined and determined, defeating Turkish units in rapid succession.
Foreign Support
On April 22, Armenia—having stayed neutral during the Third World War and made peace with Azerbaijan—intervened on behalf of its Serian brothers. Soon after, Greece joined.
Turkey was completely unprepared for such an alliance.
By August 29, 2029, it capitulated and signed a humiliating treaty:
- Western Anatolia went to Greece
- Eastern Anatolia and Mount Ararat to Armenia
- The rest to the new Serian State
Formally, Turkey still existed, but the real power in Ankara belonged to Greece.
THE NEW SERIAN MONARCHY
Seria restored its monarchy under the Nen Dynasty.
After centuries of persecution and silence, the Serian people finally regained their homeland.
A new world order began—one where Seria rose from the ruins to claim its place among nations.
THE RUSSIAN SITUATION
The Fall of Russia
After its defeat in the war, Russia began to rot from the inside and outside alike.
Corruption reached unprecedented levels. Reparations imposed by the victors crushed the economy and impoverished the people.
The government was filled with oligarchs and criminals, speaking of “stability” while caring only for personal gain.
The population rebelled. Uprisings erupted across the country, until the state itself collapsed.
The Era of Warlordism began.
Each regional leader, general, or politician declared his territory the “True Russia” or “Real Soviet Union.”
The central government in Moscow became a hollow shell, powerless and broke.
The United States, seeing this chaos, encouraged it, believing that “the best Russia is a divided Russia.”
American bombers destroyed the remaining military and industrial centers, ensuring the country would never reunite.
Thus ended the story of the old Russian Empire,
and began the age of Russian Cliques—
a time of fractured states, each calling itself the heir of the fallen Russia.
