Death of Locke

New York - In the middle of the night, in his manner at Capitol City, the beloved Hegemon Locke has passed away in the night, surrounded by his closest advisors and friends. He is survived by his brother, the valiant Ender Wiggens who saved our people from the bugger invaders, and by his close ally, Demosthenes, who has left the planet to colonise the same bugger husk that Admiral Wiggins set out towards. The Hegemon shall be remembered as a valiant leader through our darkest times.

The time of death is calculated to have been 3:42 A.M. and was caused by a simple heart failure.

Bombing in Tel Aviv

New York - The military is reported to have passed Martial Law in the Islamic Provinces after another proto-nuclear bomb went off in Tel Aviv’s central housing pyramid. The death toll now stands at 213,457, with a further 19,253,871 wounded to various degrees, and another 120,932 missing within the ruins. This follows three days after the third iteration of the Muslim Brotherhood threatened a bombing should the marriage quotas in the area not be relaxed. A local politician, Shalom Moshe Blumenthal, known for his 2165 speech criticizing the Hegemons decision to decrease the birth quota in the province, is reported to be among the dead.

Oslo- Reports continue to come in regarding the last public decision of the Hegemon to renew the Controlled Climate Act of 2132. Riots have occurred in Moscow, St. Petersburg, London, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Calcutta, Ontario, New South Wales, and New Cairo. In a recent statement from the office of the Chief Advisor to the Hegemon on the Climate, the Act is not going to be overturned in the foreseeable future.
