Inspired by “Where I’m From“ by George Ella Lyon

I am from tables.

From hoses and forks.

I am from the corners of rooms.

Green grass.

I am from the hibiscus bushes.

The gigantic pine.

I’m from coloring eggs with onions on Easter and curly hair.

From my brother Vladimir and grandfather Vladimir .

I’m from picking noses and losing stuff.

And from making messes.

I’m from eat it and don’t eat that.

And Crow’s Porridge.

I’m from Christmas trees.

I’m from West Lebanon and Russia,

crepes and beet soup.

From eating bear meat Grandfather ate,

 soft blankets.
