Good Morning SAT - Santa Clarita, CA
Updated automatically every 5 minutes

Welcome to the administration of the SAT here in the Santa Clarita Valley. Our goal is to make today awesome for you. Here’s how you can help:

Be prepared. The College Board has strict rules in place regarding test security. Each of us working here today has signed a pledge to enforce these rules. All test-takers must present their Admission Ticket and a valid photo ID upon entering your testing room. For more information, visit the SAT Test Day Checklist.

Know where you’re going. Sometime between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m., we will post a list of test locations in alphabetical order by your last name. The list will be posted on all testing classrooms, and on Instagram at:

@scvSAT

We will be using classrooms in the AA, B, BB, D, and E Buildings today, so stay close by.

Follow the testing rules. Your room supervisor will guide you through every step of the process and share all of today’s testing rules. One of our biggest rules involves cell phone use. Basically, you should have your phone turned OFF from the time you enter your testing room to the time you are completely finished testing and are leaving campus today. There are other important rules to ensure  a fair test for everyone and to help things go smoothly today, so listen carefully to your room supervisor.

Keep your family in the loop.  If you are taking the SAT or SAT With Essay today, expect to finish your exam around 1:00 p.m., give or take a few minutes. If you are taking the SAT Subject Tests, expect to be done anywhere between 10:15am and 12:15pm, depending upon whether you’re taking one, two, or three exams today. Please share this with family now, because you won’t be able to use your phone at any point during the exam.

Make good choices. Our goal is to ensure an orderly and fair test administration for everyone. If you are here to follow the rules and do your own personal best, then listen carefully, follow all directions and today will be a great day for you! For those who seek to gain an unfair advantage or to simply ignore the rules, please note that you will be held accountable and the College Board will be notified. An unwise choice made today could affect your life for years to come. Any time a rules violation occurs (cell phone use during breaks is the most common), test center staff must report the violation using a Supervisor Irregularity Report.

This Irregularity Report sets into motion an investigation that will likely delay your scores, and cause you great frustration. For this reason, PLEASE make sure you read all printed guidelines and listen to all spoken directions from your test room supervisor.

Let us know how we did! We want your day to be awesome! If you encountered any difficulty or if you have suggestions for how we can improve our SAT program here at Canyon High School, we would love to hear from you!
