TEEBOARD BETA PATCH NOTES:
v0.1.2 beta 2014-06-13
- The communication mechanic for Widgets has changed. Widgets now use a Socket connection (like the Chat Widget already did) for communicating with TeeBoard. This means you can now run multiple copies of the same widget simultaneously (e.g. OBS preview + TeeBoard preview). Note however that each copy of the same widget has the same settings applied to it.
- The following widgets now use a Socket connection:
- Chat
- Clock
- CountDown
- Media
- Notifications
- Poll
- Spectrum
- Because of the new communication mechanic, widgets should work properly in XSplit again.
- The Media Widget should now properly work in XSplit with more than one video. Previously if more than one video was listed, it would stop at the end of the first video.
- Because of the changes to the widgets, the following widgets have their settings reset to defaults:
- Clock
- CountDown
- Media
- Spectrum
- Because I was running out of room (top tabbar) under the Widgets tab, they have been reorganized.
- A new tab was added called IRC Widgets and contains:
- Chat
- Giveaways (work in progress)
- Poll
- The old Widgets tab has been renamed to Misc. Widgets, which houses:
- Clock
- CountDown
- Media
- Spectrum
- The Notifications tab has been renamed to Notification Widgets. and contains:
- Followers
- Subscribers
- Donations
- Useful for those using the obs-js notification widget and have modified the html file, a backup of the previous widgets folder can be found in:
- [USER DOCUMENTS]\TeeBoard\widgets-old\notifications\obs-js
Note however you should not copy complete folders from the old to the new widgets location.
- Modified the html/css/js notification widget to use 3 different images for each notification type (follower, sub, donation). You can find this in:
- [USER DOCUMENTS]\TeeBoard\widgets\notifications\obs-js
- Also added a 2nd example to show what can be done with the provided JavaScript animation engine (GSAP), so make sure to check it out. Open the following page in your browser or add it to OBS:
- [USER DOCUMENTS]\TeeBoard\widgets\notifications\obs-js\teeboard-notifications-360.html
In TeeBoard, hit the test button in:
- Notification Widgets → Followers, Subscribers or Donations
- The Clock and CountDown Widget now have a selection of 20 fonts to choose from and you can specify the transparency (alpha) of the text.
- Fixed a bug with the Subscriber Widget, where it would always list the oldest subs first, instead of newest.
- A new Widget is now available: Poll
As the name implies you can conduct a poll from within TeeBoard and display it on your stream. Voting is done via chat and requires the Chat toggle switch to be “on”. Viewers can vote by entering the corresponding keyword in chat, one vote per user and voting can not be undone.
You can find this new goody under: IRC Widgets → Poll
To add the widget in OBS, add the teeboard-poll.html file located in:
- [USER DOCUMENTS]/TeeBoard/widgets/poll
The minimum dimensions for the widget are 640x160px and need to be defined in the CLR Browser source properties. You should not scale the widget in the OBS preview (edit scene).. kittens will die !! The widget is mostly meant for display in an out-of-game scene. In case you want to display the poll during gameplay, a text version is available in the same folder as the widget which you can add as scrolling text in OBS or XSplit:
- [USER DOCUMENTS]/TeeBoard/widgets/poll/poll.txt
- Once again XSplit is being a PITA and will not render the Poll Widget properly. This is because XSplit uses a custom and/or outdated Flash player plugin rather than your system Flash player. I’d say it’s time for them to wake up and smell the coffee. I may look into developing an XSplit version of the widget, but don’t hold your breath.
- Connecting to the Twitch IRC chat server (required for the IRC Widgets) is now done on port 80 instead of the more common (for IRC) port 6667. This should get around your Firewall or Router blocking that port.
- An option has been added to the system tray right click menu:
- Force notification on top
Enabling this option (the default is off) will ensure that the on screen notification window is displayed in front of your game. Note however that when playing a game in exclusive fullscreen mode, enabling this option may - and most likely will - kick your game out of fullscreen mode and possibly into windowed mode. It is therefore only recommended for use with games in borderless fullscreen or window mode.
- You can customize the location of the on screen Notification window via the system tray right click menu.
