Eclipse Prep

Get ready for an event that has not happened across the contiguous United States for 26 years

and will not happen again for seven years:

Solar Eclipse 2017!

The library will be offering programs to help people of all ages to prepare for the event.  From storytimes that explain what an eclipse is to our youngest patrons, to hands on model making with older youngsters, to an informational presentation made by RIT lecturer, Dr. Brian Koberlein, we will have lots to offer!  AND...on August 17, come to the library to receive your solar eclipse glasses for viewing the eclipse.  We will also live stream the eclipse thanks to NASA and our high speed broadband.  Whether you choose to view it outdoors, or in the Community Room, this ought to be an event to remember!

Plus, you’ll want to check out the books we have that explain eclipses and those that are great guides for anyone to be an eclipse chaser!

FIND OUT EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT SOLAR ECLIPSES AND WHAT CAUSES THEM WITH NASA @ YOUR LIBRARY!
