10th Grade Summer Reading

Hello Everyone,

I cannot wait to meet all of you! I did get to meet a few students at the Family Night, and look forward to meeting everyone else. One thing you should know about me right from the start is that I am a total book freak, nerd, geek. I read ALL THE TIME. I also listen to audiobooks on my long commute back and forth from work. If you haven’t tried listening to audiobooks you should, many are free on YouTube.

I thought it would be fun to share some books with you and connect with you throughout the summer. I created this page: https://www.facebook.com/SLAbeeberbooktalk  so we can discuss books, share pictures of our favorite titles, our reading nooks, and more. I am including a list of books that you might like. I have read many of them and most listed will be available in my classroom library.  I created the following list to help you find some fun summer reads. Also, don’t be afraid to read the classics. They might take a bit more patience and effort, but they are so worth it (Think SAT). Well, except for Wuthering Heights. I just really didn’t like that one, but maybe you will fall in love with it. Many people have.  You are required to read at least two books and share your reactions on FB. You may choose something from this list or choose your own book and add it to the list. Please don’t delete anything. Have a great summer, and don’t forget to read!
