May the Strength of God guide us.

May the Power of God preserve us.

May the Wisdom of God instruct us.

May the Hand of God protect us.

May the Way of God direct us.

May the Shield of God defend us.

May the Angels of God guard us.

May Christ be with us!

May Christ be before us!

May Christ be in us,

Christ be over all!

May Thy Grace, Lord,

Always be ours,

This day, O Lord, and forevermore. Amen.

McDonald’s Fundraiser

Our School Council organized another successful fundraising evening at the McDonald’s at 1250 Stittsville Main Street, on Wednesday, May 10th. Between 4 and 8 pm, when families presented the form that was sent home with the students, 20% of the total of meal purchases go towards supporting School Council initiatives. Thanks so much for your support.

EAP Craft Market

Our Gr 4 and 5 Students are participating in the Entrepreneurial Adventure Program. Their next business venture will be a Craft Market, held in the gym, on Thursday, May 11th. Each group will display their bracelets and other assorted items, and students will be able to look at them, try them on, and place orders. Pricing information was sent home in a note earlier this week. The orders will be filled within two weeks and all proceeds will support the OK Clean Water Project. You can find out more information about the EAP ventures on the following student created blogs: St. Stephen Entrepreneurs and Ok Gear.

Ultimate Frisbee Rescheduled

Due to the recent weather conditions and the wet fields, the Ultimate Frisbee tournament has been rescheduled to Tuesday, May 16th, at St. Mark’s High School. Stay tuned for further updates about the tournament and field conditions.

Swim Meet

Best of luck to our swim team, who will be participating in the OCSB swim meet, held in collaboration with Special Olympics Ontario, on Thursday, May 11th, at the Nepean Sportsplex. Go Stallions!

Grade 6 Sacred Heart Visit

Our Grade 6 students will have the wonderful opportunity to visit and tour Sacred Heart High School, on
Friday, May 12th. The students will visit Sacred Heart from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm to help them prepare for their transition to the high school in September.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Chloe Guillemette, a very talented Grade 6 student, who will be recognized on Thursday, May 11th, with an honourable mention for visual arts at the MASC awards. She is receiving this recognition after three of her amazing drawings were submitted for consideration.
