Post restante.
Dear Colleague,
With your kind letter in hand and with additional letters of recommendation I went to the Ministry of Agriculture, into the august presence of the Ministerial Counsellor Mr. Josef Kazy,[1] who received me in a friendly fashion. He then called on his secretary to hear what the position was. “The matter has long been taken care of!” – Tableau! You simply forgot that in the year 1902 you resigned the commission and returned the material to the Ministry, whereupon they entrusted it to our colleague Karlowszky,[2] who has still not carried it out.
I am not offended by this let down, but I would only ask you to write a few lines to the Ministerial Counsellor Jozsef Kazy to clear up the matter, so that it is made clear that there was no fault or incorrect behaviour on my part.
Your exhibition represents [illegible] very well and I congratulate you with much pleasure on your great success.
With greetings, Yours,
Róbert Wellmann
