[2] The King’s pleasure with his portrait [7705] and the pendant of Queen Alexandra’s [7707] was publicly acknowledged in July 1909, when he appointed the artist Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

[3] Possibly Lieutenant Colonel Sir Charles Arthur Andrew Frederick (1861-1913), British Army officer and courtier. Lieutenant Colonel Frederick was Master of the King's Household and an Extra Equerry to King Edward VII and to Queen Alexandra at the time of this letter.
