Activity Sharing (4:10 - 4:30)

Describe what you put into practice, successes, & struggles

If possible, add a link to something that you have put together so far (YouTube channel, EdPuzzle, etc…)

J.A. | I created an EdPuzzle and the students did it today! https://edpuzzle.com/assignments/56d763fcd050e94073f168ea/watch

I started working on the PJHS Website for the PBIS committee: http://www.unit5.org/Domain/2855  I’ve uploaded 2 Google docs, the behavior matrix and the calendar.

I added my homework page (Google doc) to my Schoolwires page: http://www.unit5.org/Page/9310.  It’s very nice not to have to update Schoolwires!

I created an online worksheet on wizer.me: https://app.wizer.me/learn/V5I1R

A.J. I I started working with Orange Slice and put together a basic rubric to use with our next writing unit. I also used the grammarly app in a couple mini-lessons.

C.P. | Youtube videos to help the students understand difficult processes in building our skatepark.

I also did a google sheet that is used for our team homework page.  My team LOVES IT!

The Peak

ME. B. | https://edpuzzle.com/media/56b0ba694c9bcb3241b2ab82

This is a video I used as a warmup for my Spanish IV classes.

S.J. | I had my students create presentations / PSA.  The rubric using orange slice.  https://docs.google.com/a/myunit5.org/document/d/1s_mTLl2Vi-D92sx8yhKGicjMEku0MVligvefN4g6i6o/edit?usp=sharing

Peers evaluated using a Google Form.https://docs.google.com/a/myunit5.org/document/d/1s_mTLl2Vi-D92sx8yhKGicjMEku0MVligvefN4g6i6o/edit?usp=sharing

Presentations were done using Powtoons, Prezi, google slides, etc.

J.R. | used EdPuzzle to add videos to science classroom for for a workshop model of teaching I am developing. I also showed my students how to make their YouTube channel and make their own videos.

V.C. | My awesome video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmHsCjTXICI

M.K. I EdPuzzle, YouTube, played with Orange Slice, wizer.me, self-assessment form

S.S. I made a Prezi for a book that I’m reading aloud to students to model how to create a book trailer.  I used screencastify to videotape it in present mode while I narrated and then used creator studio in youtube to trim.  Entire process took about 15 minutes and kids are excited to use prezi for a video for their trailers since it gives them some nice templates to help guide them through the process.

M.D. | Continuing to make all my videos YouTube videos. Also attempted OrangeSlice...going to take time to make adjustments to current rubric set up.

C.M. | Continued work on youtube videos. Looked at adapting some of my rubrics to Orange Slice but decided it might not be the best fit for the class I was using.

C.S. | Loved EdPuzzle for Heat Transfer video! I definitely want to use it for some reteaching in other units next year - I’m challenged to find ways for students to revisit content when the rest of the class has mastered something.

I put links to documents into my assignment menu to centralize access for my students https://docs.google.com/a/myunit5.org/document/d/1o_g9fgSKoq1e4cS1Mngf9uAzNTQqs-jT8DZYpDjoPks/edit?usp=sharing

L.D. | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuHaXVgnkfs

N.V. | I have been planning my next steps more than implementing.  I’m creating videos for grammar lessons, so my students will have access to improve in their area(s) of weakness.  I’m applying Orange Slice to a journal assignment that my students will complete on Thursday and Friday of this week.  I will be modeling some of the cool tools from last week, so we can research and add images in our next unit. https://docs.google.com/a/myunit5.org/forms/d/1cez4sKWtikTnY6ra0mmmwpsFlaEfg2Dqmj1URV2MS14/viewform?usp=send_form
