Airport

When you arrive at the airport, after collecting your luggage, follow the red signs towards Rhonexpress (http://www.rhonexpress.fr/): thisis the tram service that connects the airport to the city center.

You will have to walk through the airport, towards the airport train terminal. There, you will find vending machines with the Rhonexpress sign (you can buy a return ticket).

Exit at the last stop of the tramway, Part Dieu: you are behind the Part Dieu train station. Enter the station and walk through it, in order to exit in front of the station

the rear of the station is "Sortie Porte des Alpes", the front is "Sortie Rhone".

Train station "Lyon Part Dieu

You will find, in front of the Part Dieu train station, the metro station "Part Dieu" (red and white signs).

Tickets can be purchased on machins inside the station, after the stairs. Buying 10 of them costs cheaper (15.10 EUR instead of 17 EUR).

To go to the ENS Lyon, take the B line towards Gare d'Oullins, and exit at the Debourg station (last but one).

ENS Lyon, Monod site

There are two sites for  ENS Lyon, Descartes and Monod, you have to go to the Monod site, the address is 46 allee d'Italie.

From the city center, take the B line towards Gare d'Oullins, exit at Debourg station. There are two exits, choose the one at the front of the train. Walk straight until the next crossroad (you'll have a pharmacy on your left), turn right, cross the road, and go straight (in Rue Challemel Lacour): you will reach Place des Pavillons. Continue straight ahead, which involves crossing the "square", you will reach allee d'Italie in front of you.

the welcome desk is under the "bridge", to your left.

Ring the bell and give your name to the people at the welcome desk, they will direct you to the third floor, to the PACE meeting.

From the city center, take the B line towards Gare d'Oullins, exit at Stade de Gerland station. Choose the exit at the front of the train. Here is a webpage with some directions (metro: Stade de Gerland)

Tips about Lyon

You will find here some hints regarding your stay in Lyon (courtesy of a very nice colleague).

Saturday: if you have time to do some touring, you can go and visit the “Vieux Lyon” (around the cathedral, reachable by metro, change at Saxe Gambetta metro station).

You can also have a walk on the “presqu’île” (the part of the city between the two rivers, you can even walk almost to the place where the rivers meet, on the shore of the Saône river). And if you still have some energy, visit the Parc de la Tête d’Or,

or the Croix Rousse hill: go on top of the Croix Rousse, either by feet or to the Croix Rousse metro station, then go down the hill by crossing the “traboules”, small passages going through houses -- when going down, start with the traboule in the southern part of Place Colbert, at number 9 -- look for the small “traboule signs” all along your way down the hill:
