Dear Mr de Laszlo
I have had no correspondence with Jenkins[1] other than that you have seen. The last two letters he quotes[2] I have left unanswered. They were, in my opinion, sufficiently answered by your letter of Sept 12th and, as I told Ingpen[3] long ago, I absolutely decline to involve myself in correspondence with Jenkins.
I am sorry you are being worried by him. If I may offer the advice, I should again simply refer him to your letter of Sept 12 and say that you have nothing more to add and decline further correspondence.
You may be interested to hear that I have just been appointed house governor & secretary to King George’s (military) hospital
With the compliments of the season | Yours very truly
Oakley Williams
