Dear de Lazlo.

I am sending you a little book. in which – I have attempted to describe the events wh. occurred during the time I stayed in Moscow – during for the Coronation of the present

Emperor, which I beg the master – will accept from his subject as a Christmas gift.[2]

I have been so very much interested, and amused, by all you have told me during our sceances [sic].[3] These I venture of ^to offer

you, this short accrual of my adventures in the country we have talked about.

and at the same time, to offer to you. and Mrs. de Lazlo – my sincere good wishes for a Happy Christmas (in the snow) and for all good things in
