RESOURCES: OT 32 Spies in the Promised Land

INSTRUCTIONS:

Parent Card - You may print this document so the kids have a paper to take home to their parents.

  • Print on color paper (one for every two kids).
  • Cut horizontally along the middle, then fold it half like a book, with the lesson title on the front page.

Signs (Desert, Promise Land, New Heaven)

  • Print each sign on color paper and place inside a plastic sheet protector.

  • Desert - brown, Promised Land - green, New Heaven - Yellow/Orange

Paper Moustache Instructions

  • Print and follow the instructions on this page to make two paper moustaches.

Spy Checklist

  • Print on white paper and attach to a clipboard.

Grape Bunch

  • Print on purple or green paper and cut out the grapes.

Necklace Signs (Didn’t Trust God, Trusted God, No Promised Land, Promised Land, Wander 40 Years)

  • Print each sign on color paper and place in plastic sheet protectors. The holes from the sheet protector should be at the top of sign.

  • Didn’t Trust God, No Promised Land, and Wander 40 Years - red

  • Trusted God and Promised Land - green

  • Tie a string from the left and right holes of each sheet protector so the sign can be worn like a necklace.

Israelite Cards (Front and Back)

  • Print the two pages (Front and Back) on opposite sides of the same sheet.
  • Cut out each card. You’ll need one card for each child

Instruction Activity Sheet (Younger and Older)

  • Print one copy on white paper for each child. There are two versions, for older and younger children.

Verse Drawing Sheet (Younger and Older)

  • Print one copy on white paper for each child. There are two versions, for older and younger children.
  • If possible, print it on the back of the Instruction Activity Sheet.

Verse Cards

  • Print on color paper and cut out each card.

Paper Moustache Instructions

Follow the steps below to make two Paper Moustaches:

  1. Print this page on heavier paper like card stock.

  1. Cut out the moustache picture below.

  1. Trace the moustache picture black or brown construction paper.

  1. Glue or tape a popsicle stick to the back side of moustache (see the diagram below.)
  1. If possible, color/paint the popsicle stick black before attaching it to the moustache.

  1. During the lesson, have the kids hold the moustache by the popsicle stick, then position the moustache portion over their lower lip.
