INCURRED IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE CORRECT PROCEDURE AND DO NOT HAVE
A PARKING PERMIT IN YOUR VEHICLE WHEN CHECKED BY THE SHERIFF.
STUDENT PARKING IS A PRIVILEGE: Students must adhere to all regulations governing parking on campus and may be subject to disciplinary action and/or L.A. County Sheriff ticketing or towing for any violations.
SERVICE LEARNING: Students must have completed their Service Learning requirements for prior years.
GPA: Student must have a minimum of 2.0 GPA.
LIABILITY: Vehicle owners are required by California law to carry liability insurance. The Las Virgenes Unified School District and Calabasas High School assume no responsibility for damage or theft to vehicles. Students park on campus at their own risk.There is NO security provided.
SAFETY: This is the prime consideration in driving. Student drivers are required to follow all California vehicle codes while operating their vehicle on campus.
PARKING: Students MAY NOT park in the Staff, Visitor, PAEC or any Reserved parking spaces on campus. Students may only park in the spaces designated for students. A valid parking permit must be displayed at all times in the front windshield on the driver’s side. Vehicles without a permit are subject to ticketing, towing or both. Any student caught using a reproduced, counterfeit or copied permit will immediately lose their parking privileges for the balance of their time at CHS.
SPEED LIMIT: The limit is 5 miles per hour.
LEAVING CAMPUS: Seniors and Juniors may leave campus if they have a valid Off Campus Pass on their CHS ID card and with the approval of administration. (The administration has the right to limit the days when students may leave campus.)
OFF LIMITS: Students are not allowed to return to their cars throughout the day, except if they are Seniors or Juniors leaving campus under a pass at the appropriate times.
VEHICLE SEARCH: Student vehicles may be subject to a search if reasonable suspicion exists that the vehicle contains an item that may in violation of school policy or be harmful to that student/other students on campus.
NON-TRANSFERABILITY: Parking permits are non-transferable. The penalty for the violation of this requirement is confiscation of the permit and permanent loss of parking privileges.
FEE: $200 with ASB purchase and $250 without. There is a replacement cost of $200.00 for lost or stolen passes.
