NARRATOR: Sleep related infant death is a leading cause of infant mortality. Every year, we lose the equivalent of one kindergarten class from sleep related infant deaths. NARRATOR: Luckily, there are 3 steps you can take to help prevent Sudden Infant Death A: Always make sure your child is sleeping Alone B. Make sure your infant is sleeping on their Back. C. Never let your infant sleep anywhere except for their Crib. MOTHER 2: I just want to go back and shout at myself, beg myself to just let her sleep on her own. MOTHER 1: It’s so simple, if I had known… I(pause) I never would have let him sleep on his back. (pause)But he just looked so comfortable MOTHER 3: I would do anything go back and hold my baby one more time. Narrator: Life doesn’t have a rewind button. Take the time to remember the ABCs of safe sleep, and keep your infant safe and happy. |
