Applications for Department of Geosciences Scholarships Now Being Accepted: All Geoscience majors are eligible to apply for our departmental-level scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year. Full scholarship information and applications can be found on this page. The deadline is Tuesday, Feb 28. Both applications are attached.

University GIS Position Open: WSU Facilities Management is looking to fill an hourly GIS Technician position. Please visit https://jobs.weber.edu/ and search for requisition number, "10605" or job title, "Hourly GIS Technician."

University Water Conservation Tech Position Open: WSU is looking to hire a student worker interested in water conversation with full-time hours over the summer months. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Summer Internship: GeoTenerife's summer internship program is now open for application. Thanks to the success of previous years' programs, they have a record number of  placements available. The program is run in association with the Canary Islands Volcanology Institute, INVOLCAN, and includes:

- Geochemical volcano monitoring

- Hydrogeochemical volcano monitoring

- Seismological volcano monitoring

- Environmental monitoring

Call for Student Presenters: The Intermountain Section of the Association of Engineering Geologists is looking for students to present their research at their annual Student Night. The event will take place down in SLC on February 16, 2017, with dinner and a social hour starting at 5:30 and presentations at 6:30.
