The itinerary and travel dates are customizable.

This initial itinerary is a sample itinerary and does not reflect any academic program. ARAMFO offers its travel courses to all fields of study. Therefore, our initial itineraries serve as a reference for the types of activates and locations available in the region. All customizations for academic programs are made on a case by case basis.

Tokyo

Arrival Day.

Meet at the airport, welcome and transfer to hotel  

Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel at 6:00pm and transfer to a nice restaurant for a welcome dinner (2 course meals, dessert, and soft drink)

8:00pm: Back to hotel

Day 2

Tokyo full-day tour

9:00am: meet at hotel

10:00-11:00: Asakusa sightseeing (Sensoji Temple, Asakusa shrine, Nakamise street)

11:30- 12:30pm break for lunch

1:00-2:30: Edo Tokyo Museum

3:00-4:00: Ueno sightseeing (Ueno Park, Ameyoko Street)

5:00: the tour ends at their hotel

Day 3

Kamakura tour.

Full day tour

8:30am: meet them at their hotel

11:00-12:30: Hasedera Temple, the Great Buddha

12:30-1:30: break for lunch

1:30-2:30: Hokoku-ji Temple

2:30-3:30: Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine

5:30: the tour ends at their hotel

Day 4

Kyoto

Travel from Tokyo to Kyoto by train

06:00 - 08:00 Breakfast at the hotel

8:30 am the group will be met by their guide at the lobby and transfer to Tokyo station in a charter coach.

Board Bullet train to Kyoto

Upon arrival, the group will be met by an English speaking guide, have lunch and start Kyoto half day city tour in a charter coach to visit:

Fushimi Inari Taisha, dedicated to the goddess of rice. The 4km pathway behind the shrine is lined with more than 10,000 red torii gates, presented by worshippers – a magical stroll and Kiyomizu Temple

Day 5

Kyoto

Full day tour

Breakfast at the hotel (06:00 - 08:00), the group will be met by their guide at the lobby.

A full day tour in a charter coach to visit:

Ryoanji Temple, is one of the most notable examples of the dry-garden style Golden Pavilioin, a gilded structure originally used for a nobleman’s villa and nearby Ryoanji Temple, with its fabulous Zen garden.

Free time for lunch

Nijo Castle is one of the seventeen assets of Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto which have been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Take a stroll through the streets of Gion, where most evenings (starting about 5:00PM) you can see stunningly attired maiko

Kyoto

Full day tour to:

Nara Deer Park

Todaiji

Kasuga Grand shrine

Kofukuji

Naramachi

Day 7

Mount Kōya

Travel from Kyoto to Mount Kōya and spend one night at Mt.Koya-san

Day 8

Hiroshima

Travel from Kyoto to Hiroshima by train

Breakfast at the hotel (06:00 - 08:00), the group will be met by their guide in the lobby.

Start the day with a walking tour of Peace Memorial Park

Peace Memorial Museum, exhibit presents the facts of the atomic bombing, with the aims of contributing to the abolition of nuclear weapons throughout the world, and of promoting world peace.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial (Atomic Bomb Dome), The building serves as a memorial to the people who were killed in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945.

Atomic Bomb Testimonies by survivors’.

Free time for lunch. Check into your hotel.  

Day 9

Hiroshima to Miyajima

Itsukushima Shrine, Misen

Breakfast at your hotel. transfer to Miyajima. It has been regarded as an Island of Gods.

Itsukushima Shirne is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stroll inside the island. Free time for lunch.

Back to Hiroshima

Day 10

Shirakawa

Travel from Hiroshima to Shirakawa

A full day trip to Shirakawa to visit Shirakawa world heritage site and back to hotel

Day 11

Depart for Takayama

A half day visit to

Old Town

Folk Village

Students can rent bicycles to tour the town

Day 12

Tokyo

Travel from Takayama to Tokyo

06:00 - 08:00 Breakfast at the hotel

8:30 am the group will be met by their guide in the lobby and transfer to the train station in a charter coach.

Board Bullet train to Tokyo

Students can have their lunch on the train

Upon arrival, the group will be met by an English speaking guide who will be with them for 3 hours tour.

Check in at your hotel by 5:00pm.

Day 13

Tokyo

Professors will spend the day with their students. They will visit Gibli Museum with no tour guides based on their request.

Farewell dinner at 6:00pm

Day 14

Departure Day

Transportation to the airport in a charter coach
