Visits to other schools - Please do not plan to visit teachers of our other schools during the school day the week of exams.  They are with students teaching and we are unable to interrupt their classes during the day.  If you would like to visit with them, please make arrangements with those teachers for an after school visit.  

2025-2026 Midterm Exam Schedule -  All students will be dismissed after exams.

Toy Drive - The Class of 2027 is holding a toy drive to collect toys for Cincinnati Children's Hospital! New toys can be brought to the Girls and Boys Varsity basketball games on Friday December 12th, or delivered to room 212 or 140 anytime next week, 12/8-12/12.

Snow-Ball Winter Formal - Tickets for the Snow-Ball will be sold from 1/26-1/30. The dance is Saturday 1/31!

2027 EXCHANGE TRIP TO GERMANY! - The OHHS German Department and Oak Hills Dingolfing Exchange Program are once again looking for FIFTEEN families to host a German exchange student for only two weeks in September of 2026.  Students who are selected and successfully host will then be offered the chance to travel to Germany in the summer of 2027.  To apply for the exchange program, please stop by the mailbox outside Room 416 to grab an application.  

Message from Mr. Conners - Students all hats and hoods must be removed before entering the building.  Sweatshirts with hoodies may be worn during the school day, however, the hoodie portion may not be worn over your head between 7.40 am and 2.48 pm.  If a teacher allows such in their classroom, that is at the teacher's discretion, but in the hallways and at lunch they are not permitted.  Blankets are not permitted in school.  

The Writing Center - Did you know… every time you complete a consultation, you’re eligible for a $15 gift card to Target or Amazon? Sign up for a consultation, and receive opportunities for other quarterly/semester prizes as well! Our student-led Writing Center (in room 518) is open! Our consultants are ready to offer feedback on any type of writing Tuesday-Friday during X Bell. When using FlexiSCHED, please select the “Writing Center - 518”. Teachers may “sign out” Writing Center Consultants during their class time bells 3, 6, and 7.

Privileged Activities - Please see this letter for eligibility requirements for privileged activities (ie homecoming, OHHS Walk, prom).  

Student Grief Group For students who are grieving the loss of a friend or loved one, we have a student grief group that meets monthly throughout the year during XBell/ 4A. It is co-led by Mrs. Southworth and Mrs. Ray and is an open group that students can join at any time and remain members of as long as they attend Oak Hills High School.  To participate in the group, students should complete this sign-up form (can be found on Google Classroom). After signing up, they will be invited to the next group meeting. Participants are invited to bring their lunch to group and eat while we meet.  

Writing Club: Thursdays from 3-3.45pm in room 321 with Mr. Bishop and Mrs. Rohlfer (please email us if you want to come for the first time, as sometimes we hold our meetings in the comfy Writing Center so would want to make sure you go to the right place that week). Student-led, have fun writing and chatting with other student writers!

Cell Phone Policy - Please remember there is no cell phone usage during school hours (8:00-2:50).  Click  here for the full policy.  

In need of food, clothing, school supplies, or other resources?  We can help! Stop by Student Services – Room 522 and see Mrs. Nixon.  No appointment needed. Just come by if you need anything!

2024-2025 Yearbooks - The 2024-2025 yearbooks have arrived!  If you paid for shipping they should have arrived or be arriving soon to your home!  All others should pick up their yearbook from room 136!  We do have extra yearbooks available for purchase. Send $85 cash or check (payable to OHHS) to the fiscal office starting Thursday.  If you have any questions please contact Erin Ward: ward_e@ohlsd.org

Blankets - Blankets are not to be worn in school.  If you have a blanket please be sure to keep it in your backpack.  

FCA - FCA will meet on the following Friday mornings from 7:15-7:50 in the Auditorium Dec. 5, Jan. 9, Jan. 23, Feb. 6, Feb. 20, Mar. 6, Mar. 20, April 10, April 24, May 8.  

National ACT Test Dates - Does your student need to take the ACT?  Please see the dates that the National ACT Test is scheduled to be given at Oak Hills High School.

Breakfast Servery - Please note that the servery closes at 8:00 am.  If you would like to purchase something from the servery it must be purchased before the first bell begins at 8:00 am.  

Morning Arrival - All students should be entering through the commons’ doors in the morning before 8:00 a.m. After 8:00 a.m. please enter through the Main door by the flagpole and stop and see attendance for a tardy slip.  

Fast Food - Students - your parents are NOT permitted to drop off fast food for you. Please make sure your parents are aware of this rule.

Parking passes -  The lot will be checked daily.  All cars in the lot are required to have a 25-26 parking pass.

Final Forms - It is extremely important that the school has completed Final Forms on file.  It provides us with contact information as well as release information.  Please have your parents fill out and update your Final Forms.  It can be found on the website in the Parent Portal.  

Senior Portraits for Yearbook - Seniors, did you take your FORMAL senior portrait for the yearbook yet? Please remember to dress accordingly. The Oak Hills yearbook will use a formal pose for the class of 2026 portraits. Keep in mind that boys should wear collared shirts and ties, and girls should wear something dressy, but no spaghetti straps, and not strapless. You must schedule an appointment with Executive Studios.  Please call  513-241-4959 to schedule your appointment.  The deadline to have your photo taken is December 5, 2025.  Remember, Executive Studios must take your picture in order to be in the yearbook, but you are under no obligation to purchase additional photos.  

OHHS Art Opportunities-  Are you interested in participating in art competitions, exhibitions, internships, or possible job opportunities? Then make sure to join the OHHS Art Opportunities Google Classroom HERE…even if you aren’t currently enrolled in an Art and Design Department course.
