Aim: To bring visibility, educate and build pressure against US fossil fuel multinational Chevron and the German conglomerate Siemens, and to hold them both accountable for their role in fossil gas-based projects with apartheid Israel that fuel climate desaster, Israeli aparthed and pillage of Palestinian natural resources.
Messaging:
- Chevron has been the main international corporation extracting gas claimed by Israel in the Eastern Mediterranean. The company is helping Israel deprive Palestinians of their right to sovereignty over their natural resources and contributing directly to the climate emergency with its gas extraction. Gas is a very dangerous fossil fuel that has a serious impact on the environment. Chevron is complicit in Israel’s illegal siege of Gaza that prevents Palestinians from accessing the sea, and in Israel’s illegal transfer of extracted fossil gas to Egypt through a pipeline crossing Gaza’s blockaded sea, owing Palestinians millions in transit fees.
- Siemens in turn is the main contractor for the EuroAsia Interconnector, a submarine electricity cable from Israel to the EU, via Cyprus to Greece, that will enable Israel to export electricity produced from fossil gas to the European market. The EuroAsia Interconnector will connect Israel’s electricity network, which includes the illegal settlements, with that of Europe contributing to the maintenance and expansion of Israel’s illegal settlement enterprise in the occupied Palestinian West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
- Highlighting the European Union’s hypocrisy in supporting and protecting Israel’s decades-old system of oppression from accountability while denouncing Russia for months-old violations of international law in Ukraine. This shows that the EU has no problem with aggression, plunder, occupation and annexation as long as it is perpetrated by one of its members or allies.
Campaign Calls:
- Global consumer boycotts and divestment campaigns against Siemens until the company terminates its business involvement in the EuroAsia Interconnector which enables Israel’s illegal settlement enterprise and its system of apartheid–a crime against humanity.
- The exclusion of Siemens from public and private contracts and investments until the company withdraws from the Interconnector project, ending its complicity in Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity.
- Divestment from Chevron and other fossil fuel corporations fueling the climate emergency and Israeli apartheid.
- Support for environmental justice campaigns that target fossil energy giants, such as Chevron, which are among the most responsible for the climate emergency we all live in.
- Support the international campaign against the EastMed Pipeline, a project that endangers the environment and undermines the pursuit of a just peace in the region.

Today, we launched our newest campaign against US fossil fuel multinational Chevron and the German conglomerate Siemens. Both companies are fueling environmental destruction and Israeli apartheid. To mark the launch of the campaign we are holding a Twitterstorm, happening right now!
Chevron has been the main international corporation extracting gas claimed by Israel in the Eastern Mediterranean. The company is helping Israel deprive Palestinians of our right to sovereignty over our natural resources. Among others, Chevron is complicit in Israel’s illegal siege of Gaza, that prevents Palestinians from accessing the sea, and in Israel’s illegal transfer of extracted fossil gas to Egypt through a pipeline crossing Gaza’s blockaded sea, owing Palestinians millions in transit fees.
