2023 Virtual Summer Credit Recovery Program
July 05, 2023 - July 27, 2023
William Penn will offer virtual credit recovery courses in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, French, Health and Electives for students that have failed any of these courses during the school year. This is only available for current William Penn High School Students. The cost is free and students may register up to two courses. Registration is limited and will close once the courses are filled. Check WPHS website starting at 8 am on June 26, 2023 for more information on how to register online. If you register online, you must contact your school counselor to confirm which courses to register for. The counselors' contact information is provided below. Courses will run from July 5, 2023 through July 27, 2023 (or when students complete their course requirements). These courses will be taught virtually with live video conferencing support Monday through Thursday (9 AM-11 AM session 1, 1 PM – 3 PM session 2).

Registration
Registration begins June 26, 2023 at 9 am for students that attend William Penn High School 9th -12th grades. In order to register, you can report to William Penn High School June 26- June 27 from 9 am- 4pm OR register online. If you register online, you must contact your counselor via email to confirm which courses to register for. Each student may register for a maximum of two courses.
By June 19th, parents can check their student’s Home Access Center for final grades. IF your student earns a final grade of F in any of these courses (English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health, Spanish/ French or Electives), they can register to take that course online this Summer to make-up that credit. All other courses will be addressed in the Fall.
Schedule
Summer Credit Recovery will run from July 5, 2023 – July 27, 2023. This will run virtually starting on July 5, 2023. Classes will be held every Monday - Thursday (No classes on Friday). Students must attend one of the two sessions (unless other accommodations have been made with the instructor).
Session #1: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Session #2: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
2 hour flex office time (to be determined by CIS instructor)
Attendance
Punctual attendance is required virtually every day to complete the requirements of the program.
Three tardies will equal an absence. It is expected that registered students attend until their course(s) is complete or through July 27, 2023, whichever comes first. (unless other accommodations have been made with the instructor).
If students are NOT meeting attendance/course requirements by the second week of CR courses, students WILL BE DROPPED from the CR program. Guardians will be notified/contacted by a WPHS administrator.
Discipline
The Colonial School District Code of Conduct is enforced during credit recovery hours. Serious violations will result in immediate removal from the credit recovery program.
Devices
IF students do not have their own device, devices will be available for pick up on the following dates:
Monday, June 26, 2023-10:00am-2:00pm at WPHS
Tuesday, June 27, 2023- 10:00am-2:00pm at WPHS
Wednesday, July 5, 2023-10:00am-2:00pm at WPHS
Thursday, July 6, 2023- 10:00am-2:00pm at WPHS
*Students WILL NOT BE PERMITTED to pick up a device for Summer Credit Recovery after July 6, 2023.**

3) Completing the number of Submissions Required
on these assignments. Students must complete the number of submissions
required for the specific class they are registered in.
