The tepees where made out of the buffalo hide. The flap was made out of deer skin. Tepees could
hold 15 or16 people.
Women were in charge of the tepees.
If the flap was opened that mean you could come in. If the flap was closed that meant you couldn’t come in.
The men painted the tepees on the outside. They made the pole to hang the buffalo hide on.
There was a hole in the top of the tepee to let the smoke of the fire out. In winter the men covered the hole with buffalo hide to stop snow coming in.
