27th February, 1929.

J.R. Bailey, Esq.,

The Secretary,

Burlington Fine Arts Club,

17, Savile Row, W.1.

Dear Sir,

In the absence of Mr. de Laszlo, who is still in Egypt and not expected to return until the end of March – I am writing to acknowledge your notice of the closing of the Exhibition on March 3rd.[1]

On looking through Mr. de Laszlo’s instructions regarding the return of the Cassone Panel [113447], I see he suggests as an alternative in the event of his still being abroad at the close of your Winter Exhibition, that I should ask if you would be kind enough to keep it for him until his return, as there are workmen in the house here. Would you kindly let me hear if this would be convenient.

Believe me,

Yours faithfully,

Secretary.
