In Banks of Seine, the painting shows a lot of value such as in the water and the shade for the trees. I the painting The Circus, there is line show up on the bleachers and the movement shown through horse's movement. Port St. Tropez shows a variety of color with sails on the boats and the rising sun in the distance. Everything in the pictures was exactly how things were in the real world, with no interpretation or emotional meaning to them. 4. This movement began in France after the 1848 revolution. 5. This movement may have been spurred by the invention of photography in 1840. | 1. In artwork #1, the man looks exactly like the world around him. He looks so much like this, that I was startled when I first saw him. It looked like he was in a room in front of me. 2. In artwork #2, the flower looks “realistically” beautiful, the position is believable, and the artist does what he set out to do as a Realist, His artwork is beautiful, in the flower and in the way it portrays the world around it. 3. In artwork #3, the woman in the picture is drawn very skillfully with a flower in her hair. Fauvism is when exaggerated colors are used and wild strokes of paint are present 2.Fauvism was created by Henri Matisse. The intense use of color in Fauvism describes light and space. 5. This artwork shows the art principle of movement. This artwork shows movement because the bright orange hill is close up and leads down to the bottom of hill, into an open field. It reached it’s peak in the 1880’s and 1890’s after the impressionist movement. 4.Unlike many other art movements, pointillism has nothing to do with the subject matter of the painting, it is a specific way of applying paint to the canvas. 5.Pointillism uses the science of optics to make the many small colored dots blur together, to create a singular image. | Artwork #1 shows color because each person in the scene is wearing different and very colorful clothing. Artwork #2 shows value because the shade of blue in the river is different in different areas, showing shadows and ripples in the water. Artwork #3 shows space because there is a distinct foreground, middleground and background. Artwork #4 shows color because all of the items in the nature scene are drastically different colors. Impressionism Student first name: Luke | 1. It began in the 1860s. 2.It often was supposed to be beautiful or pleasing to look at. 3.They focused on ordinary people and scenes. 4.It used rapid brushstrokes and didn’t combine or blend colors to save time. 5. This student makes the artwork very calm looking by using cool colors. There is the look of rapid strokes, just like how the artwork is supposed to look. The colors also don’t blend making it a pleasing experience for the eye. 2. This artwork uses many of the same colors to create a mellow tone. It looks like something that you would see while peacefully walking. Many fast brushstrokes cause the artwork to pop out. Also the brushstrokes didn’t blend making it a poppy work. 3. This artwork uses contrasting colors to make a piece that stands out. The quick and fast brushstrokes make it pleasing to look at, also the colors don’t blend just like they are supposed to. |

Pointillism uses small dots to create filled in images. 2.Your eye automatically blends the colors, which makes the artwork seem smoother. 3.Developed in 1886 primarily by Georges Seurat and Paul Signac. 4.The pixels on a computer screen are very similar to Pointillism because the eye blends the colors together. 5.Some Impressionists used small dabs of paint instead of strong, sharp dots of color. | 1. The face looks real!Because, her face looks like her eye shadow makes real life, and her lips looks very well.
