Starting positions determined as follows:  Top twenty eight (28) cars out of time trials; and four (4) Provisionals listed as below.   Provisional starting spots: One provisional for each of the following: not already qualified-most recent NWMT champion, most recent SMART champion, most recent ROC Tour champion, most recent MRS Champion & most recent TRI-track champion. DAH Motorsports, LLC reserves the right to add provisional starting positions at their discretion. Special Note: More than 32 Cars – 24 from qualifying, 4 last chance races, 4 provisionals.

  A)         Any safe modified race car with a wheelbase between 104”  – 110”

2. Maximum tread width 84 inches measured wheel bead to wheel bead.
3. Rear ends must be locked.  Non-quick-change rear ends allowed.  
4. CARBURETORS MUST PASS North South Shootout GO/NO GO GAUGES AT ANY TIME
5. ANY STEEL PORTED CYLINDER HEAD MUST RUN A GAUGE LEGAL 650 CFM CARBURETOR WITH 1” MAXIMUM ALUMINUM SPACER
6. ANY STEEL NON-PORTED CYLINDER HEAD MUST RUN A GAUGE LEGAL 750 CFM CARBURETOR WITH 1” MAXIMUM ALUMINUM SPACER
7. 23 DEGREE PORTED ALUMINUM HEAD

OPTION A:  MUST USE A NASCAR LEGAL HOLLEY 390 CFM MODEL 4150 HP SERIES CARBURETOR WITH BRIDGED BOOSTERS.  BOOSTERS MAY BE SHORTENED TO .500” (NO OTHER ALTERATIONS ALLOWED) AND USE A 2” ALUMINUM SPACER.  WITH OPTION A, TRI-Y HEADERS ARE PERMITTED

         OPTION B:  MUST USE A HOLLEY 390 CFM MODEL 4150 HP SERIES OPEN BOOSTER (BRIDGE REMOVED). NO TAPERING OF ID OR OD OF BOOSTER AND MUST USE A 1” ALUMINUM SPACER.  WITH OPTION B, HEADERS MUST BE 4 INTO 1.  STRAIGHT TUBED OR STEPPED (1 ¾ TO 1 7/8 ONLY).  MERGE COLLECTORS ARE NOT PERMITTED.

(H)        21 DEGREE DART ALUMINUM HEAD MUST USE A GAUGE LEGAL HOLLEY 750 CFM MODEL 4150 HP SERIES CARBURETOR WITH BRIDGED BOOSTERS AND USE A 2” ALUMINUM SPACER OR A GAUGE LEGAL HOLLEY 830 CFM MODEL  4150 HP SERIES CARBURETOR WITH BRIDGED BOOSTERS AND USE A 1’ ALUMINUM SPACER.

(I)        18 DEGREE ALUMINUM HEAD MUST USE A NASCAR LEGAL HOLLEY 390 CFM MODEL 4150 HP SERIES CARBURETOR WITH BRIDGED BOOSTERS. BOOSTERS MAY BE SHORTENED TO .500”AND USE A 1” ALUMINUM SPACER OR STANDARD HEIGHT BOOSTER MAY USE A 2” ALUMINUM SPACER.

(J)        SPOILER: MAXIMUM SPOILER HEIGHT OF 8”. MAXIMUM SPOILER WIDTH OF 48”.  MUST BE CLEAR POLYCARBONATE.  MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF 44” FROM GROUND TO THE TOP OF THE SPOILER WITH DRIVER IN CAR.  CAR MUST HAVE ALL FOUR (4) TIRES ON THE ASPHALT/CONCRETE WHEN MEASUREMENT IS TAKEN.  TIRES MUST BE INFLATED TO RACE PRESSURE.

(K)        AIR FILTER:  PAPER OR K&N FILTER ONLY.  MAXIMUM OF 5” HEIGHT BY 14” DIAMETER WITH SOLID METAL TOP ONLY (NO CARB HATS)

(L)        Weight rule: 6.80 lbs. per cubic inch plus 175 lbs with a minimum weight of 2600 lbs,56% max left side weight with driver. Exception:  NASCAR spec motor must weigh a minimum of 2650 lbs., 56% max left side weight and must meet all NASCAR spec motor requirements per the NASCAR rule book

Tire Rule:  HOOSIER tire compound M20 Left / M30 Right. Tires will be available at the track all three days.  RACE DAY TIRES NOT AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE UNTIL FRIDAY 11/8/2024

• Four tires may be changed during the race. (Max of 8 race tires) No tire softener allowed. EMERGENCY TIRES: One (1) left side and one (1) right side tire may be submitted to NSS Officials for approval as “Emergency Spares”.  These tires are NOT considered as part of the eight (8) race day tire allotment.  New or “slightly scuffed” tires will NOT be approved.  THE APPROVED EMERGENCY TIRES may be used only if your race day tire allotment has been exhausted.

• Racing Fuel will be available at the track. Sunoco 110 or 112 (All teams must purchase a minimum of 20 gallons) THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY CONTROLLED COMPETITION CAUTION ON OR ABOUT LAP FIFTY (50) TO ALLOW CARS TO ADD FUEL ONLY.  CARS WILL ENTER AND LEAVE PIT ROAD IN THE POSITIONS THEY WERE RUNNING WHEN AT THE TIME OF THE CAUTION IS CALLED. 

• Mandatory drivers meeting, time to be announced each day.  

• All cars must have an AMB Transponder for scoring to be allowed on track including practice.  Any car without a transponder will be black flagged immediately.  Rental $25  

RACE DIRECTOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO AMEND RULES IN THE BEST INTEREST OF SAFETY AND/OR COMPETITION.

LAP LEADER BONUS AWARDS (As Of 9/1/2024):  $200 bonus to the leader on laps 6 and 17 “Remembering Ollie “Josh” Jenkins for his dedication to Modified Racing and the North South Shootout.  $500. to the leader on Lap 76 Honoring John Blewett III.
