Covid Relief Pasta Workshop III
I am so glad to see your interest in contributing to a cause and making a difference in the current scenario. The pasta making will be my humble gift to you for this noble intention and for joining hands together.
Here is the date and timing of the second Covid relief pasta workshop
Day and date: Sunday, 30th of May
Timing: from 7 pm - 9 pm IST so you have fresh pasta made for dinner in India and of course enough to be stored for dinners later. The timing will allow some of you in the US, Canada and Europe to join the class as well I hope.
The workshop is priced at 1500 INR which is actually the cost of eating pasta at a restaurant.

I must add that we will be absolutely transparent in the donation process and the details of that will be shared in the group mail within 3 days of the workshop.
The pasta workshop includes egg-free handcrafted pasta and pasta sauce/seasonings. You don't need a pasta machine to make this pasta.
All the recipes are vegan-friendly too.
You can join the pasta workshop along with your children and other family members. I highly recommend it because handcrafting pasta is a great family bonding activity.
What do you learn in this Covid relief pasta workshop?
1. Making a pasta board using common objects in your home, useful if you don't have a pasta board.
2. Making the perfect dough using whole wheat flour and learning to handcraft different shapes of pasta. Inclusion of barley & freshly made vegetable puree is part of it too.
3. Learning about how different shapes of pasta are suitable for different types of sauces or seasonings. How to decide what shape to make depending on what sauce you are planning.
4. Gluten free jowar and potato Gnocchi.
5. Making Lasagne sheets at home and baking lasagna for the family within 30 minutes. Yes, a 30 minutes lasagna meal from scratch.
6. I will discuss what cheeses are healthy and if you are using processed cheeses, which ones to avoid if you want a nutritional meal for your family.
7. Since some of this pasta can be sun-dried or partly dehydrated to be refrigerated or stored in containers for later use, I will be covering the topic of storage of some of this pasta as well.
8. All required recipes and ingredient lists will be sent as you sign up for this workshop.
All proceeds from this workshop will go to organizations that are working towards Covid relief in the country. I have shortlisted my favorite organizations that are Kalap Trust, GiveIndia, Goonj, and Hemkunt Foundation. I have shortlisted Lokayan Sansthan from Bikaner this time because they are doing some work on the ground. Another friend doing some community work in villages of Uttar Pradesh is also being added to my list and we will send out funds depending on how much we collect with this workshop.
Looking forward to seeing you at the covid relief pasta-making workshop.
