With how the illustrator draws the situation it shows Raina and her family could be in a scary situation like an earthquake. The illustrator also draw Raina and her family in shock after the big earthquake. In the images Raina eyes looked shocked and her body looked like it jumped up. The spikes on the drawing boxes made it look like the room was moving.
