- Independent Practice: Draw a picture of solid, liquid and something filled with gas.  Show and tell their picture to the class.

-  What happens to a liquid like water when you pour it into containers of different sizes and shapes?

- What happens to the air when it is put inside balloons or balls of different shapes or sizes?

- Whole Group: Model using water, ice and steam.

- Experiment: How a solid and liquid can create a gas.

Utilize a balloon, baking soda,vinegar and test tube. Students will identify items as solid, liquid and gas. Record the reaction of the baking soda and vinegar causing the balloon to inflate on its own. The mixture of baking soda and vinegar creates carbon dioxide which inflates the balloon
