How to Create and Share a Photo Album using Google +

Step 1

Have the photos ready on your computer.

This may mean downloading them from the Internet and saving them

  • right click or control click, save as

Step 2

Go to Google Chrome (internet) and navigate to Osseo Apps.

Log in to your Osseo Apps using username@apps.district279.org as your username

Use your district password to sign in

Step 4

Log in one more time - through Osseo Apps

Step 5

At the top right of the screen, click on the 3 x 3 array. Then, click on Google+

At the top left, hover over Home and go down to click on Photos.

Step 5

Click on the upload photos cloud

Use the Photo Browser to select the photos from your computer that you would like to include in your photo album

Tip: You can hold the Command button (on a Mac) or the Ctrl button (on a PC) to select more than one photo

Step 6

Click Create Album and enter a new album name (then click enter), click or Add to Album and select an album to add the photos to.

Step 7

Use the pencil tool in the top right to edit the album.  Click and drag a photo to rearrange the order of photos in the album.

Or, click on a photo and then on the pencil tool to edit photos (Add captions, rotate photos, delete, etc.)

**Make sure student last names are not showing in the pictures.

When you are clicked on a photo, you can click on the three vertical dots to make it the album cover.

Click Done when you’re finished.

Step 8

Next, it might prompt you to tag people who are featured in photos.  For our purposes, you can skip tagging.

Step 9

When you are back on the album and ready to share, click on the share icon in the top right.

Click on Google+

Click on the building icon at the top of the post to change the sharing setting so that the public can see the photos

  1. Slide the Restrict to apps.district279.org slider to white.
  2. Click on Public
  3. Click the check mark

You can also type in peoples’ names who have a Google + account.

Add a comment at the top to describe the album, if you’d like.

Click Post at the bottom.

Step 11

To share on your Google Site:

Open your Google Site, then go to the page where you would like to insert the photo album.

Click on the pencil tool to edit the page.  Then put the cursor where you would like to put the album.

At the top left of the screen, click on Insert, then Google +, then click on Photo Album.

Click on the album you would like, then click Select.

Choose the size you would like, type in a title, and click Save.

Don’t forget to click Save at the top of your Google Site when you’re done!
