Design Challenge – Space Plant Chamber

Scenario

Your newest assignment as an engineering team here at the STEM Academy is to research the feasibility  of the design and construction of plant growth chambers that may be used in the harsh environments of space.  The STEM Academy plans to use the moon as a base for construction of the Nevermore Arks.  We will need to be able to grow food on the Moon as well as inhabitable planets   Your team design and construct a model of plant growth chamber that may be used on the Moon.

Design Constraints

• Time: You will be expected to complete this design challenge from start to finish in a short period of time

Materials: Materials are a constraint because you may only use materials that you can access, meaning anything in the MakerSpace, or anything that you can provide on your own.
