and how he used these gifts.

Students demonstrate prior knowledge of vocation defining it as a call from God to know, love, and serve Him.

Students identify types of vocations: lay person, religious brother/sister, ordained minister.

Students read a brief biography of Blessed Frassati and highlight important details.

Students write a paragraph explaining

how God strengthens us making references to David

in both stories.

Students read and discuss two Bible stories: David conquering Goliath and David as King. 

Students make a connection with obstacles that we face in our lives meant to strengthen us.

Students associate this strengthening  to Pentecost and to the sacrament of Confirmation

 

Why do you think David was least likely to conquer a giant? Why does God often give us challenges to face? What should we do when we are scared or uncertain?
