KCMS Clubs and After school activities are starting! Great ways to get INVOLVED! The KC Dungeons and Dragons Club will have an informational meeting after school on Tuesday, September 10th. This will be an opportunity for students to dive into the collaborative storytelling world of Dungeons and Dragons and develop and practice skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving. All while having fun with new friends and rolling dice! For more info, contact Mr. Smith, asmith@waynesboro.k12.va.us or Mrs. Downing, kdowning@waynesboro.k12.va.us Diversity Leadership Council "Diversity Club" Every other Thursday KMCS cafeteria 3:30-4:30pm Anyone can join! No requirements or dues Members will be expected to act like leaders! Meetings will also be once a month during Flex time for those who want to join but play sports. First meeting will be Thursday Sept 12! Do you love to read? Looking for ideas for your next book? Come join the Book Club after school on Thursdays in the library from 3:30 to 4:30. Parents can either pick up their children at 4:30 in the upper parking lot, or students can ride the late bus home. KCMS Chess Club starts Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 Chess Club will have a limit of 14 students to start. Let the front office know to join! What do they do?? We plant and harvest fresh vegetables. We learn to use tools to build the outdoor classroom. We play games and create art with nature. We also cook and eat delicious food in our outdoor kitchen at each meeting. Students can also sign up to work our farm stand on Thursdays to sell our vegetables to the community! All students are welcome! You will ride the afternoon but to the Berkeley Glenn Farm after school on Wednesdays!
