The District Learning Tools page provides guidance on integrating digital tools with a focus on goals, pedagogy, and instructional strategies. It includes information on all district-purchased devices and tools, along with supporting resources. Each tool has a dedicated page explaining its purpose, usage within NISD and how to access, and ways to further learning. Each page also showcases pictures of the tools in use, professional development resources, and examples from teachers and students. |
Teachers across the district are feeling empowered using their iPads—the ultimate tool for elevating instruction and mobility in the classroom. On our Mobile Educator page, teachers can find settings and tips to set up their iPads for success and learn about tools like AirServer, Annotate, and PearDeck. These tools enable engagement through annotating, screen mirroring, providing feedback, and showcasing student work. Each iPad tool has its own page with step-by-step installation guides and examples of use throughout the district, offering the resources teachers need to succeed with their iPads. |

The Student Chromebook Tips and Tricks page has quickly become a favorite for kicking off the school year. NISD is proud to provide 1:1 Chromebooks to all students, empowering them with access to a world of educational resources and fostering digital literacy. This page serves as a comprehensive guide for teachers, students, and parents, offering everything from quick links to helpdesk and student device information, to in-depth resources on Chromebook accessibility and customization. Under the accessibility and accommodations section, there are how-to videos for enabling accessibility, professional development resources, and a guide on apps to support diverse learners. The tips, tricks, and troubleshooting section is always updated with quick solutions for common issues around the district. The page wraps up with Chromebook resources for the classroom, including our district Chromebook contracts for all grades, which align with our Digital Citizenship initiative. It also offers resources for Chromebook camps and shortcuts to support students in getting to know their device. It truly has it all! |
