Good Warrior Weekend Everyone!
Thank you for all your support with our reinforcement of our cell phone policy here at NRMS. Students have responded positively to the policy and seem to appreciate the “break” from being connected to their devices.
Also, we will be administering our NWEAs the week of September 30 to October 4 with make-ups the following week. We appreciate all the support and encouragement you can offer your student during these tests!

Warrior Athletics
The schedule for next week is as follows:
Tuesday: field hockey @ Brewer, 3:30; girls soccer home against Ellsworth, 3:30, A/B
Boys soccer @ Ellsworth, 3:30, A/B
Wednesday: A soccer @ Old Town, 3:30, G/B; football @ Bangor, 4:00
Thursday: cross country @ Old Town, 4:15; field hockey @ Reeds Brook, 3:30
Cherrydale Fundraiser
The Cherrydale Fundraiser will run from October 10 to October 25. All proceeds benefit the school’s sunshine fund, helping students and/or families in need.
The magazine has holiday gift ideas, wrapping paper, etc. The orders will be here in time for Christmas!
The magazines will go home October 8th or 9th.
School Calendar Change
Thursday, October 10th will now be a NO SCHOOL day for Nokomis Middle School students.
All other RSU 19 schools will have an early release day as planned.
Friday, October 11 is still a workshop day as it was on the original school calendar.
Archery
Beginning Archery classes for grades 4-8 will be offered on September 18, 25 and October 2, 9, Wednesdays 6-7.
Location: Next to Plymouth Grange Hall and Plymouth Village Store.
Free to Plymouth kids, $5.00 for other towns for the four classes.

Show Chorus Auditions
Show Chorus is a fun and exciting group that performs their themed shows to the community and at festivals each year! Show Chorus rehearses twice a week outside the school day from the beginning of November to the beginning of April. (Rehearsal schedule TBA)
Show Chorus auditions will take place in the music room after school October 7th-9th. Any student that is enrolled in 5th-8th Chorus can sign-up to audition. To sign up to audition, students must fill out the google form in their Chorus Google Classroom.
The required audition piece students must prepare is the Star Spangled Banner. If there are any questions in regards to auditions, please contact Ms. Jordan. (ajordan@rsu19.net)
KVMEA Band/Chorus/Orchestra Auditions
Band and Chorus students in grades 6-8 have the opportunity to audition each year for the KVMEA Honors Festival (which will take place January 31 & February 1, 2025).
This year’s auditions will take place at Warsaw Middle School on October 23rd. The cost to audition is $5. To sign-up to audition, students are asked to fill out the form in their Band/Chorus google classrooms and give the audition fee to Ms. Jordan or Ms. Dunlap.
The deadline to sign up to audition is OCTOBER 1ST!
