Editorial Note:

Frederick “Fred” Anthony White (1842-1933) [11347], prominent layman who for nearly fifty years applied his artistic skill, knowledge of architecture and business acumen to the establishment of Church House; he became a member in 1886 and served on the council between 1890 and 1933. White was also Vice-President (1917-1933) and Chairman of the House and Accounts Committee (1899-1933).
