How Rules are Implemented
How Rule-sets are Implemented
Should be easy to follow
If an idea is suggested, it will eventually be voted on by at least five major Colony Leaders/Corporate Officers.
If it wins with a majority, it is implemented and either immediately placed or slowly introduced as new lore.
This voting system will be called the Leader Voting Format (LVF for short.)
Otherwise, it will be kept in the “Suggested Ideas” tab until brought for another vote or agreed to be terminated.
Votes can also be held to remove or replace current Rule-sets with other ones.

sA - MATERIALS, TRADE, AND PRODUCTION
ARTICLE A
Material Trade and Production (Revised & Edited)
Any and all weapons created by you must:
If there is any violation of these rules, your character and everything surrounding it will be removed from lore.
Any amount or specific variant of a material cannot be obtained if the material in question is in violation of Section A.
You must inform bugs of:
Otherwise, the product will be ignored in lore.
An item can be reintroduced or removed from lore an infinite amount of times if:
OR
If the product is in violation of Section C, it is immediately removed from lore and cannot be brought back unless Section C is fulfilled.
sB - CIVILIANS AND THEIR CHARACTERS
ARTICLE B
Civilian Character Creation and Resource Obtainment
If a Reddit account is voted against participating via LVF, the account and their corresponding character(s) will be removed from lore unless brought back via LVF.
To follow, only 1(one) account from each Leader/Owner will be allowed on the official voting subreddit, r/NationLeaderBallotBox.
When a Civilian creates a Character, they must introduce themselves with a post. If any Colony Leader or Corporation Owner refuses to recognize them, the Civilian’s Character will be ignored in the domain of said Leader/Owner. The ignored Character will also be unable to interact with said domains.
Characters that are allowed in certain areas and not in others may not participate in war or any other forms of physical interaction against a Colony that does not recognize the said Character.
If a Character is obviously unbalanced in any sort of way, then an agreement via LVF can ban the Character from all groups withholding the Bug Lore Rules.
Characters can also be unbanned via LVF if desired.
Once a Character’s corresponding group has at least thirty-five members, the Civilian’s Character may interact with other Colonies/Corporations as a representative or citizen of that group. This does not apply to groups already able to interact.
A Civilian’s Character must have lore accurate, plausible explanations as to why and how they obtained or created a certain good.
Should the previous not be provided, the action/transaction will be ignored, undone, and removed from lore if decided on by majority of either the public or by agreement via LVF.
sC - POWERS
ARTICLE C
Powers of Leaders, Owners, and the public
If the public thinks that a post breaks any rules, or the post is simply hated by the public, then a moderator of that domain should remove the post if the public states so. The public can also call for a domain ban on a person/group or call for LVF to ban a person/group from every group participating in Bug Lore Rules.
If there is ever a disagreement between the public and moderators, the Leaders/Owners should set up a Leader Only and Public Only poll, respectively. The polls should be about the disagreement. When the polls are over, the percentages of the votes should be summed for each option in both polls. The option with the highest percent sum will be the action that must be taken in response to the disagreement.
sD - VETO POWERS
ARTICLE D
Veto/Rejection Powers
Any and all rulings of any post, from any person or group, can be overridden by public majority.
In minor disagreements, a Leader/Owner can override public beliefs by getting a majority via LVF. The public can also do the same unto the Leader/Owner.
Not abiding by any rule, article, or section in this Guide to General Conduct will result in an according punishment. If the punishment is not already determined, it is to be determined among the Leaders/Owners and the public.
TAMING ANIMALS
Taming is the process of making two different species able to interact in a consistent, predictable way over time.
It’s not automatically about control or ownership. It just means one has influenced the other enough that their behavior becomes reliable.
At the most basic level, taming creates one of four outcomes:
Cooperation — both sides willingly work together
Obedience — one follows direction without a strong bond
Dependence — one relies on the other for survival or stability
Fear — one complies primarily to avoid harm
The fear outcome is different from the others because it’s unstable.
Behavior is consistent only as long as the threat is present. If the source of fear weakens, disappears, or is challenged, the tamed creature may:
Resist
Flee
Turn aggressive
It also tends to create stress responses, which can make behavior less predictable over time, not more.
Everything else still works the same:
Communication allows understanding
Conditioning builds habit
Temperament affects difficulty
Intelligence affects depth
Time affects stability
Taming works because of a few core factors:
Communication
There has to be some form of understanding, even if it’s not language. This can be movement, sound, posture, or repeated signals. Without this, taming doesn’t hold.
Conditioning
Repetition builds habit. When actions are consistently followed by the same result, behavior becomes predictable. This is what turns random interaction into something stable.
Temperament
This controls how easy or difficult taming is:
Calm → quick to accept interaction
Skittish → slow, requires patience
Moderate → depends on handling
Aggressive → resistant, unstable
Intelligence
Higher intelligence allows more complex relationships. Lower intelligence limits it to routine and instinct.
Time
Taming is gradual. Stability comes from repeated interaction over time, not a single event.
Not all outcomes are equal. Some tamed relationships are stable and long-term, while others are fragile and can break under stress.
But remember, some individuals may never become predictable at all. Some individuals may suddenly turn on the tamer without warning.
Failure States
What happens when taming goes wrong:
Rejection — creature refuses interaction entirely
Regression — loses progress and reverts stages
False Taming — appears stable but breaks under stress
Backlash — becomes aggressive toward the tamer
Maintenance
Taming isn’t permanent unless maintained.
Needs reinforcement (interaction, food, signals)
Long gaps can weaken the bond
Stress or environmental change can destabilize it
Specialization
Different individuals or species are better at certain types of taming.
Some are better at cooperation
Some at obedience/control
Some at calming skittish creatures
Some only handle aggressive ones
Limits / Hard Rules
You need a few things that just don’t bend:
Some creatures cannot be tamed at all
Some can only reach certain outcomes (e.g., never cooperative)
Some require extreme time or risk
Rank / Difficulty System
Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Extreme
Helps scale creatures and achievements
Temperaments
Calm
Calm animals don’t see you as an immediate threat, so taming is mostly about building routine.
Start by existing nearby without sudden movement
Leave food in the same place repeatedly
Gradually decrease distance over time
Introduce simple signals (sound, movement tied to food)
They quickly associate you with safety and consistency.
Taming usually results in cooperation or dependence.
Skittish
Skittish animals are driven by fear, so the goal is reducing perceived threat.
Stay still or move very slowly
Avoid direct eye contact (seen as predatory)
Use distance-based feeding at first
Let the animal approach instead of closing in
Repeat interactions at predictable times
Progress is slow. Sudden changes can reset everything.
Taming usually leads to light cooperation or fragile tolerance-based obedience.
Moderate
Moderate animals are curious but cautious, so taming is about balance.
Use food to gain initial interest
Allow exploration without forcing interaction
Introduce boundaries early (what is and isn’t allowed)
Reinforce desired behavior consistently
Correct unwanted behavior immediately but not excessively
They test limits, so inconsistency will cause problems.
Taming often results in cooperation or obedience, depending on handling.
Aggressive
Aggressive animals see you as a threat or rival, so control comes first.
Maintain distance and avoid triggering attacks
Restrict movement if necessary (environmental control, barriers)
Wait for reduced aggression before approaching
Introduce controlled feeding tied to your presence
This process is risky and takes time. Pushing too fast leads to injury or failure.
Taming often results in obedience or fear-based compliance, rarely true cooperation.
(If you suggest something in the comments, it will be added to the tables if deemed balanced and under the limits)

ARTICLE A: NATION RULERS OR CORPORATION OWNER BALANCING
(a): Any and all weapons must be approved by a majority of your population, and if vetoed by BeeCorp, Spider Smithy, your senate, or public majority, it is not allowed. Violation of this rule will result in Lorebanning.
(b): You may not accept resources that have been obtained via the methods detailed in section A.
(c) You must detail
(c-a) How you obtain the materials needed for production
(c-b) how you manufacture the product
(c-c) how you obtain the employees to manufacture the product
(c-d) how you obtain the land needed to manufacture the product.
(d) No matter what, any and all weaponry or resources may be denied in lore by a public majority (poll post) leader majority (3 or more) or BeeCorp or Spider Smithy.
ARTICLE B: CIVILIAN CHARACTER CREATION AND CIVILIAN RESOURCE ACQUISITION
(2a) Any and all characters must be balanced, and can be vetoed by leaders of any large, recognized organization, alongside a Public majority. A quick definition of balanced: not overpowered, godlike, or unreasonable. (E.x: a kaiju, an ant that’s ten times the size of a building, etc.)
(2b) If your character is deemed balanced, it must also have a sub with a minimum of ten members. It will then be permitted as an official creature, and you may interact. (To prevent thousands of species being randomly in one hive.)
(2c) You must provide a plausible, lore accurate way that you acquire any civilian goods. Ex: you cannot summon a jar of honey with no explanation as to why you can. This can be decided by the public or leaders.
ARTICLE C: PUBLIC AND LEADER POWER.
(3a) If, by public majority, any post is unbalanced, unreasonable, or breaks any rules of this constitution, a moderator MUST remove it. If two or more leaders veto the public’s decision, it is brought to BeeCorp (writers of this) to decide whether it is constitutional (ping u/expert-sun8640)
ARTICLE D: VETO POWERS GIVEN
(4a) Any and all rulings of any post (by BeeCorp or other) can be overruled by public majority (poll)
(4b) Leaders have the ability to overrule the decisions of the public with permission from either BeeCorp or a majority of other leaders.
(4c) Vice versa, the public can veto the leaders decisions with permission from BeeCorp or leaders of neutral nations.
NOT ABIDING BY THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN POST DELETION OR LOREBANNING.
