The main goal of the Reading Group is to understand and discuss with mentors ways in which exploration of these roots can be performed. The students will have a chance to meet and interact and discuss research with the speakers of the school in a dedicate session called “Meeting with Mentors”. Computer Vision is an area of scientific and technological development that will continue to have a profound impact on society. It will redefine the way in which information technology intersects and interfaces with medicine and other disciplines, it will play a key role in the care of an ageing population, and it is already a fundamental aspect of modern security technology. Participants in the competition may write a piece of original work on a topic. A best presentation prize will be given to the best presentation selected by the school committee. *SOCIAL EVENTS* In amongst a packed program of over 30 hours of school activities, there will be time for a tour of the ancient and picturesque town of Ragusa Ibla (RG) including the opportunity to experience the local traditions in the form of folk dancing and a delicious feast featuring many of the local delicacies.
